I love our Stampin’ Up! Playful Pets Suite on page 40 of the Annual Catalog. Look at these fun boxes you can make too! I fussy cut out the black cat & punched the sassy cat that sits on the front with our 2″ circle punch right from the DSP. The Real Red cardstock on the top, on the lid measures 2 7/16″ x 2 7/16″ & the DSP on top of that is 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″. The Red card stock on the front of the box is cut at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ & the DSP on top of that is 2″ x 2″. I used our Playful Trim Twine to make the ball of yarn & glued it down with a couple of Glue Dots. I will have all the measurements at the bottom of this post for all the boxes as they are the same. This box the base is Flirty Flamingo cardstock & the accent color is our Real Red cardstock.
Love how Stampin’ Up! designed a couple of these Dies in the Pampered Pets Bundle to match up with the Playful Pets DSP. I was able to die cut out the dog (he has several names by now) & I also die cut one out with our Whisper White cardstock to hide the back as he sits on top of the box. His leash is made with our cute Playful Pets Trim Ribbon & I used a little bit of wire to make it stay up. LOVE IT! The band on the top of the box measures
5 1/2″ x 1/2″. Again all box & pieces measurements are at the bottom of this post. The base of this box is Real Red cardstock & the accents are Basic Black.
I am always looking for masculine card or project ideas. I have been eyeing the Pallet Thoughts stamp set for some time now & thought of cute idea for my Facebook Live that I did today! LOVE IT! I will use this set next week to show you more ideas & how to use the Hinge-Step with our Stamparatus. But for now, the box…
I stamped the “pallet” on to Very Vanilla cardstock 4″ x 2″. I scored the bottom at a 1/2′ so I could bend it & adhere it to the lid. I stamped the pallet image again on a scrap of Very Vanilla & cut it down to 2″ long but cut out 2 of the planks. These were then stamped with the little screws on all 4 ends & each plank was popped up using Dimensionals. LOVE THE LOOK! I used our Braided Linen Thread & taped on a 3″ piece to look like a hanger. The letters are die cut from our Playful Alphabet set, HBD=Happy Birth Day! LOVE IT! The Early Espresso cardstock on the front is cut at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ & the stamped Very Vanilla piece is 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″. I only wanted a hint of the Early Espresso showing on the front. I love that I use this for any guy or girl gift! This one has some yummy chocolate! The base of this box is Pacific Point cardstock & Early Espresso cardstock was used for the accents.
PROJECT MEASUREMENTSGrapefruit Grove: 5 ½” x 4”, Tag- 3 ½” x 1”
BOX BASE: 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″
SCORE: 2 1/2″ & 5″ & turn it & score again at the same measurements. (When it’s done it will look like a tic tac toe scored board) You have to turn and score each corner as well…best to watch the video for these instructions.
LID: 4 3/8″ x 4 3/8″, score at 7/8″ on all 4 sides, so score and turn until you get all 4 sides.
INSIDE FLAPS FOR PHOTOS: cut 2 pieces at 6 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ & score them both at 4 1/2″ x 2 1/4″
CARDSTOCK FOR THE INSIDE CORNERS: cut 2 squares at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″, cardstock colors vary
DSP: For the INSIDE CORNERS: cut 2 squares at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ (These measurements are the same for the stamped pallet images as well)
Ribbon/Twine: BALL OF THREAD, I did not measure, just used a Glue Dot and started rolling
FOR THE LEASH, I used a 6 1/2″ of the Red Ribbon. I had to first attach the Trinket then use the left over ribbon to continue the leash.
