Holiday Decorations Repurposed on Good Day Columbus

I realize this video is from a few years ago, but it’s still fun!  I was asked to be on Good Day Columbus and show how to re purpose holiday decorations. Everyone was so nice at Good Day Columbus! They are still my TV choice for my morning news! Grab a cup of coffee & watch the video. Enjoy…

Santa’s Sleigh Framed Holiday Art

I am excited to share this framed holiday art project I made for a class & a craft fair.  I have used these stamps and die cuts to make many cards but as you see. They can also be used for home decor. The jingle bells were added using jute tied on with varied sized bells. The bells used were a mix of silver & gold. This project was loved by all!

This project started out with a standard 5″ x 7″ frame. I cut a layer of Garden Green card stock at 7″ x 5″ and a layer of Whisper White card stock (CS) 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″.  I used my Big Shot and the Santa’s Sleigh Framelit dies to create the scene.  The sleigh was cut from Cherry Cobbler CS, Crumb Cake CS was used for the reindeer, Garden Green CS for the tree and Crushed Curry CS for the star on the tree.  Tombo Multipurpose glue was used to assemble the scene on the Whisper White layer of CS. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black in using a sentiment from the (retired) Wonderful Year stamp set.  To finish it off, I used some linen tread wrapped around the frame to attach some jingle bells to the exterior of the frame.

I hope that this project inspires you to break out your stamps and framelits and create some holiday decor for this Christmas season and all year long.

I am including a list of supplies used to make this project with links to my store where you can purchase these items online.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or for help in placing your order.  I’d love to see you at Candy’s Stamping Studio in Powell, Ohio for a class.
